About
Holly Bassett
Being active has been a big part of my life from a young age, with my main passions being watersports. I have competed up to an international level with my SUP surfing, attending 3 World Championships, as a result of becoming 3 x British Women’s National Champion. Training up to this level is where my love of fitness training began – with the main focus being to best aid my performance on the water! My own training has always been functional with a large emphasis on understanding what it takes to train for an event, big or small and understand the physical demands associated with a given activity in order to be able to best prepare for it.
In 2019 I completed my PT Qualifications and worked at a few gyms. When COVID hit I decided to work privately from peoples houses, once restrictions were lifted, and saw the value in bringing functional training to people in their homes.
I began a degree in Sports and Exercise Science in September 2020 to up-skill my PT business and worked training clients throughout my studies. I graduated with a. First Class Degree, and a vast knowledge base as a result of my studies and having had great exposure to elite training environments during my time at university, working with military personnel, elite and ultra endurance athletes.
My mission is to help as many people as possible to embrace an active lifestyle and benefit from functional training. There are not only physical benefits from resistance training, but a host of benefits including improved well-being, cognitive function and more. Read more on my blog.
